Art Gallery

Rhondda Heritage Park Gallery is housed in a converted colliery building which at the turn of the century was the stores of The Lewis Merthyr Colliery in Trehafod.

It hosts a changing programme of exhibitions from artists of national and international acclaim and particularly welcomes welsh art and welsh artists with work connected with the South Wales Valleys, its industries, landscapes, places and people.

In addition to its changing programme it also boasts an Impressive permanent collection of welsh artists including David Carpanini, Nicholas Evans, Valerie Ganz, Mary Lloyd Jones and many more.

Alongside the Gallery is a range of contemporary jewellery, ceramics and turned wood pieces making this an ideal venue to purchase unique gift ideas.

Adjacent to the Gallery is the ‘Valley View’ Restaurant which commands breathtaking views of the lower Rhondda Valleys..The perfect place to relax over coffee, meet friends for lunch or take afternoon tea.

Additional info - Rhondda Heritage Park participates in The Principality Collectorplan interest free credit scheme designed to assist with the purchase of contemporary art and crafts.

The Gallery is open 10am- 6pm daily and admission is free. It is located on the first floor of the Visitor Centre. A lift is available if required
