Tonypandy
Tonypandy, which means ‘pasture of the fulling mill’ is a peaceful, Victorian town most well known for the infamous Tonypandy Riots in 1910.
It is the birthplace of the actors, Glyn and Donald Houston, home of the famous Scotch Terraces and the statue of Archibald Hood. It also has the largest shopping centre in the Rhondda and from October 2008 will host a weekly traditional street market. Download the flyer here
